Position: Project Manager I

Duties: Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices. Supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Identifying business needs. Determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices. Monitoring progress and results. Recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models’ compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans, using the Open Door Policy and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices. Develops and maintains relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders by educating sponsors and stakeholders on product and program requirements and documentation, collaborating with stakeholders to assess costs and establish the return on investment, securing management approval for resource allocations, creating a communication plan which determines communication level, frequency, detail and distribution of status updates, and minimizing the impact of changes. Manages multiple small-scale projects or multiple work streams by collaborating with stakeholders to efficiently develop and deliver recommended solutions, following project methodology, aligning multiple project requirements, finding solutions to project issues; ensuring tasks are executed as defined in the schedule in order to achieve project goals, monitoring budgets and costs for projects, identifying and communicating status and adjustments to project milestones and transitions between project phases. Identifying changes and escalating them to supervisors and executing system changes. Manages initiatives and projects at the project level by developing and communicating project plans and schedules to teams and stakeholders to support established objectives and communicating and adhering to project management standards and practices.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field plus 1 year of experience in project management, business, operations or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: evaluating business processes and product roadmaps, reviewing architecture designs, ER and sequence diagrams; Leading technical projects, developing project plans, ROI, identifying performance baselines, assessing and mitigating risks to help achieve project OKRs; project tracking tools like Service Now, MS Project, JIRA, or Confluence to manage projects; business intelligence, analytics, reporting and communicating project status using Tableau, Power BI, JQL and MS Excel; data analytics using SQL and Python; database management systems, querying tables and managing performance of the database; SOAP/REST API deployments, creating test cases, validation scenarios and leading UAT testing in stage environments; identifying gaps and opportunities for existing/new applications, conducting project postmortems, SWOT analysis and documenting Root Cause Analysis (RCAs); Agile/Kanban methodologies, facilitating scrum ceremonies, conducting user story workshops and backlog grooming; performing cost/benefit analysis and decommissioning legacy applications/services/jobs, saving costs for the organization; working in an AZURE environment in migrating legacy applications/platforms to cloud, setting up data backup and recovery procedures; Leading Cloud Cost Optimization programs by assessing application failure thresholds, monitoring processes and improving efficiencies; applying problem-solving tools and methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma engineering as part of Operational Excellence; and managing vendors, work force AOP utilization, identifying work-in-process, design process flows and developing production schedules.
