To actively provide input for the Strategic Sourcing Team by screening and monitoring the Local Supply Market in China Active contribution to the Group Supply Chain strategy and to its successful implementation, drive continuous improvement and provide support to Regional Centers and business Owners while interfacing with process owners. Support the Strategic Sourcing community by undertaking the required analyses across categories and reporting in accordance with the strategic requirements in the Supply Chain scope such as F4W etc. Conducting/supporting local Supplier auditing activities in China Role Contribution In order to translate Supply Chain strategy into procedures and systems while ensuring continuous improvement of ways of working in an aligned manner, the scope and activities to be undertaken by the Strategic Sourcing Analyst include but are not limited to the following as directed by the Group Strategic Sourcing Manager. Data Analysis Undertake the required internal and external analysis across categories. Measure of Effectiveness: Responsible for undertaking data analysis (internal and external) as required by the Group Strategic Sourcing Manager. Responsible for translating the results of such analyses into visual reports for circulation to relevant internal and external entities. Adequacy of the analysis and approval of the business stakeholders Reporting and Documentation Deliver various Strategic Sourcing reports and document deliverables as required by the business. Measure of Effectiveness: Regular issuance of reports to relevant internal business entities upon internal approval Incorporate amendments and/or comments and ensure the reporting is kept updated as per the needs of the business. Generate presentations/reports/analyses as directed. The role is based in the SBM Shanghai offices in China, the preference is for a local candidate. The Sourcing Analyst - China is part of the China Supply Chain organization, with reporting connection to also the Group Strategic Sourcing Manager. Job requirements: Academic: Degree in applicable University program Experience: Minimum 5 years in-depth experience in China Supplier Management and/or Strategic Sourcing. Having worked in an applicable role in Supply Chain as Buyer, Category Manager, or similar role. Deep understanding of the manufacturing/fabrication sector of the Oil & Gas business specifically regarding suppliers or service providers. Proven analytical experience. SW or tools: General MS office tools Behaviours &inter-personal skills - Key points: Soft skills Good written and oral English is a must Strong ability to analyse the external supply chain market with ability to recognize strengths and weaknesses Team spirit and good communication skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment Autonomous and ability to take personal initiative Curious and motivated to propose and/or explore new ideas Willingness to occasionally travel day and over-night trips to Chinese Supplier facilities Flexibility in working hours occasionally to liaise with overseas stakeholders GENERAL INFORMATION SBM Offshore N.V. is a listed holding company that is headquartered in Amsterdam.
