At Whale we are trying to take over the documentation & training space day by day and are now looking for a UX/UI designer to help us achieve that goal. This person has a wide array of UX knowledge that he or she can translate in UI flows and components.

Dive into the Whale pod, where you'll sync fins with our product and dev squad, and make a splash alongside one of our co-founders who is CPO. In our rapid currents, we thrive on close collaboration and mutual challenges at every depth—strategic to tactical. We're a lean team. Every person wears many hats. You'll need to as well.

This is an onsite job, we work in our Ghent office for at least 3 days per week.

Requirements:

Ideally, you'll have;
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a UX/UI designer within the SaaS industry
• Strong understanding of UX best practices and the ability to apply them effectively to boost the overall user experience
• Hands-on experience with design systems and created one in the past. Understand concepts like atomic design, material UI, ..
• Demonstrated knowledge of Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for staying ahead of the UX/UI trends
• Experience in a secondary area such as motion graphics, illustration, or animation is a plus.

What you will be working on:

In this role, you'll jazz up our design system, teaming up with our devs to bring it to life.

You'll improve the UX and UI on our web platform, mobile app, and Chrome extension, making them shine. Together with the CPO, you'll navigate our journey, rev up our pace, and bring out the best in the product and dev team. Plus, your knowledge of user research and usability testing will uncover gems of insight, helping us improve the overall usability.
