SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for a Data Scientist for one of our SaaS clients. The position will be located in Washington, DC.

Our client is looking for a candidate with strong analytical and data skills to join the team. The Data Scientist will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business to develop models, optimize systems, and leverage data to support tactical and strategic decisions.

Here are a few things you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...
• Build and test machine learning models to support the platform.
• Maintain and contribute to existing Data Science codebases.
• Work with the software engineering team to deploy models to the platform that provide ongoing forecasts, optimizations, recommendations, and insights.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Identify and investigate data issues.
• Review diagnostic and performance reports to locate and correct problems and optimize algorithms.
• Work collaboratively with peers by actively participating in research reviews and discussions.
• Work with Client Support and Delivery teams to communicate outcomes, changes, and new features in the platform.

Here's what you need to have...
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, optimization, regression modeling, time series modeling, deep learning, generative AI, causal inference, experimentation.
• 1+ years of experience with a scripting language (Python preferred).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis packages (e.g., scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Statsmodels, matplotlib, and PyTorch).
• Proficiency with relational database concepts, SQL, and a working knowledge of ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of reporting packages (such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects) is preferred.
