Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

The primary purpose of the Senior Business Analyst is to lead and own the BA function for Clinical Product Management (CPM). In this role you will identify, develop, document and implement process improvement and strategies across the CPM function ensuring standardisation of processes. You will be required to use sound process improvement disciplines and practices to achieve simplification of process, reduction of waste and financial return.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying areas of the business that can be improved to increase the efficiency of the CPM team and strengthening our business processes and recommending/implementing solutions for the CPM team. You will also work to develop KPIs across the CPM team, and monitor & report on performance data to ensure our business needs are being met.

This role is based in Auckland ideally however your location can be discussed at the interview stage.

Mōu | About you

You will be an experienced Senior Business Analyst with previous experience within a complex organisation; including responsibility for documenting business processes, clearly defining business requirements, and assisting with related documentation.

You will either already have an understanding of how our “business” operates, or will be able to work quickly and methodically to gain an understanding of the business strategies, objectives, requirements so that you can hit the ground running in this role. In addition to this, you will also have an innate understanding of the area of CPM and will be able to work closely with key stakeholders, both internal & external, to create models of operation through standardised national processes.

Your demonstrated experience working in large, complex environments to analyse and document complex business change will be essential in this role.

As this is a sole “business” role sitting within a “clinical” team, and may be located anywhere across the country, you will be able to self-manage and work independently while maintaining professional development, networking and collaborating.

• Tertiary or professional qualification in a relevant field
• Business Analyst experience within a complex organisation; including responsibility for documenting business processes, clearly defining business requirements, and assisting with related documentation
• Experience evaluating information and data from multiple sources, and communicating this clearly and concisely in a range of formats, to suit a range of audiences (technical and non-technical)
• Experience developing business process models and identifying opportunities for process improvements to achieve required outcomes
• Experience reporting on financial and non-financial analysis, forecasts and recommendations
• A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role
• Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
