Description
Our clients are a FTSE 100 business situated in the Gulf and we are advertising for a Chemical Engineer to manage the direct responsibility for projects ; generating new products and /or processes in technical services for Ammonia and Methanol plants’ catalysts and absorbents.
Engage in customer visits including technical meetings and plant audits, performance
evaluations and onste support

Work flexibly to ensure that changing work demands are prioritised and adequately
supported
•
• Own tasks, ensuring they are completed within time constraints
Handle complex technical support issues related to the plant and catalyst both proactively
and in response to “emergencies" aimed at delivering long-term value for our clients and the
customer
•
Liaise with the wider Technical Service team and Sales colleagues to ensure that work
requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner
•
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced colleagues
• Actively look to build proficiency beyond own core technology within CT technical scope
• Initiate suggestions for improvements and development tasks to be performed
Extract maximum value from the segmented customer base through developing and
deploying the appropriate level of technical services
•
Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with the clients code of ethics and EHS policy
and practices
•
Carry out other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever
reasonably instructed.
•
Travel to customer plant sites to act as the supervisor during catalyst changeouts,
reductions, and start-ups
•
Role involves up to 50% travel to customer offices and plants, including occasional night
shifts supervision at customer plant sites.

Qualifications/ knowledge/ experience
(Technical/ professional knowledge and skills competency)
Degree in a scientific/technical discipline Chemical Engineering preferred with process engineering
experience.

Strong Background and direct experience in technical services for Ammonia and Methanol plants’ catalysts
and absorbents
