Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our highly collaborative and motivated staff in our Roanoke, Virginia office. This position is expected to begin in March 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Learn the preparation of architectural/engineering drawings related to Mechanical (HVAC/Plumbing) engineering systems for commercial and governmental facilities.
• Help to deliver complete, accurate, and coordinated project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contractual obligations.
• Perform field investigations for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents.
• Perform construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review.
• Work within a project team environment.
• Maintain and organize all project related documentation.
• Coordinate work with other project disciplines and interact and communicate with other team members and disciplines.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid state or federally issued picture identification required to obtain access to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Engineering-In-Training (EIT) registration.
• Experience with BIM (Revit) software.
• Working knowledge of Mechanical building systems analysis tools (TRANE Trace or Equivalent Load Program, Various Selection Programs, etc.).
• Intern or related job experience in Mechanical Building Engineering.
