Introduction

MO Hub at MBRDI the biggest engineering, planning and digitalization hub for the Mercedes-Benz Operations organization outside the Headquarters. This department is dedicated to supporting the different facets of manufacturing across the global production network through its contributions in the areas of production planning, supply chain simulation & planning, quality management, powertrain, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

As Deputy General Manager for Supply Chain you will be in the role of a manager's manager and responsible for leading the service practices of planning & simulation, complexity management, outbound logistics, intra-logistics and digital transformation from early phases until their realization in respective production units as well as through the product life-cycle. You will also be involved in supporting other areas of the supply chain practice across the globe based on the requirements of the central organization.

The role comes with a responsibility of leading a large highly motivated team (80+ People) of experts and working with them to device the future strategy of Supply Chain practice at MO Hub.

Objectives of the Job:
• Implement and grow the Supply Chain services within the department.
• Develop the business through active engagement with Stakeholders across the global organization.
• Implement a strategic vision to the business practice in alignment with MBRDI vision.
• Effectively establish processes for ensuring deliveries of services.
• Building and managing teams with a high performance culture.
• Grow your management team according to business needs.
• Ensure knowledge buildup of team members, performance monitoring and feedback.

Skill/ Specific Knowledge:
• Relevant experience from Automotive OEM in Supply Chain domain.
• Experience in latest technology, digitalization, concepts and start-ups.
• Manpower planning, development, allocation and deployment.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ensure high employee commitment level, motivation, and retention.
• German/ international experience an added advantage.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors or Masters in Engineering/ Supply Chain Management/ Industrial Management

Experience:
• Relevant experience in planning & simulation, complexity management, outbound logistics, intra-logistics and digital transformation.
• 15 - 20 years of industry experience.
