Job Description

Description:
Develop, plan, and provide technical support for MRI magnet and system processes and technologies. Provide support for implementing improvements to existing products that enhance performance, reliability, or reduce cost. Interface with internal and external counter-parts to achieve program goals and integrate global activities

Duties include (but are not limited to):
1. Clarify and document design requirements
2. Execute the design, analysis, process development or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
3. Executes analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments under supervision
4. Coordinates and supports cross functional team including supplier to make sure the schedule and quality
5. Tracks material readiness for program integration
6. Identify and execute cost reduction or quality improvement opportunities
7. Provide technical support to production line and installed base
8. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
9. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

Qualifications:
1. Bachler degree with 3 years working experience in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
2. Minimum 1 year experience in the following technologies -- polymer and composite materials design such as FRP, injection part design
3. Familiarity with mechanical 3D CAD tool Creo and Windchill
4. Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion
5. Good English in both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:
1. MR related experience
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
4. Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
5. Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
6. Capability to conduct analysis of installed base and new product reliability using FMEA, Weibull Analysis and DFR is preferred
