The Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the datacenter systems at the System Office as well as related cloud elements in an enterprise environment. These systems include Microsoft Active Directory Domains, hyperconverged server hardware, backup infrastructure and VMware virtual infrastructure for the servers and desktops. PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Administers systems and virtual servers at multiple sites related to the System office's datacenters.
• Monitors maintenance of the datacenter physical environment including power systems and climate control.
• Installs, maintains, upgrades and repairs server and hyperconverged hardware. Works with support vendor to make service calls and proactively maintain hardware. Makes recommendations for expansion of resources when required.
• Installs, maintains, upgrades and repairs server operating systems including Microsoft and Linux systems. Applies patches and upgrades on a systematic basis according to a planned cycle. Performs performance tuning and resource optimization as required. Maintains consistent platform adhering to a change management solution.
• Installs, maintains, operates, upgrades and repairs NAS, disk arrays, backup appliances, disaster recovery systems and cybervault systems.
• Creates and manages the active directory infrastructure. Manages the users and computer containers. Plans and manages all migrations and upgrades related to the Active Directory or the Domain Controllers. Manages AD trusts, domains, schema and network services.
• Designs and implements Active Directory services including DHCP, DNS, WSUS, LAPS, KMS, ADconnect, and IIS.
• Designs and implements enterprise VMware environment on VxRail. This includes a multisite server and VDI environment.
• Ensures the entire datacenter’s availability, performance, scalability, security and backup. Works with the office network, security and enterprise application teams to accomplish the goals of the system office. Works with the ACCS colleges to support their IT goals.

SECONDARY DUTIES:
• Develop requirements outlines, budgets, and schedulers of replacement of datacenter Infrastructure.
• Designing maintenance procedures and documentation for the datacenter.
• Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology from a regionally accredited institution and four (4) years of directly related experience OR seven (7) years of directly related experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years of related experience, including installation and maintenance of a Windows based domain.
• Three (3) years of knowledge of virtual environment management principles.
• Knowledge of computer hardware installation, maintenance and management.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

PREFERRED:
• Certifications in Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA); Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
