Mars Security Assurance & Compliance exists to assess security controls, communicate compliance, and reduce risk to the Business. This role requires proven expertise in the underlying technology and security controls at Mars as well as experience of China cybersecurity and data protection legislation.
This is a high-profile role, and the successful candidate will be working closely with senior leaders in the Business as well as collaborating with Mars Data Privacy and Legal teams.
This is role specifically supporting China but also part of the global assurance & compliance team responsible for program design, standards development, and compliance assessments.

What are we looking for?
Proven experience managing and implementing information security programs. University degree (engineering/IT/computer science). Experience of China cyber security and data protection legislation. An individual who is able to work autonomously and able to articulate importance of data security compliance and benefits to senior business leaders (CFOs, CIOs), and advise business units on remediation steps to attain & maintain data security compliance. Nice to have: Qualification in Data Security / Data Privacy. Experience of working with Cyberspace Administration of China and filing Standard Contract for Cross-border Transfer of Personal Information.

What will be your key responsibilities?
Subject Matter Expert for ensuring Mars Security Controls are in place and meet the requirements of China cyber security and data protection legislation. Responsible for filing the Standard Contract for Cross-border Transfer of Personal Information (“SC”) and the Impact Assessment Report for Personal Information Protection. Create the roadmap for Data Security Compliance in China and deliver improvements to the program. Keeping abreast of the requirements of Data Security Law (DSL) and Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). Deliver new capabilities to ensure the Security Controls are addressing Data Security risks to Mars, our consumers, pets, and Associates.
