Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Network Security Engineer located in Karachi, with flexibility for remote work. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day network administration, engineering, and security tasks of the organization's network. Following are the brief tasks of the job role.
• Involvement in network and operations related tasks and activities assigned by team lead and/or managers.
• Configuration and implementation of switching security i.e. VLANs, Routing, MAC and/or IP based ACLs, Firewall Filters, etc.
• Administration and Management of Network devices e.g. Routers, Switches, Firewalls. VPN Concentrators, Network Appliances etc.
• Management, configuration and troubleshooting of network Management, configuration and troubleshooting of Network
• Execute IT Networks related activities including Data Networks, Security, VAS and end-user Support of the organization nationwide.
• To perform Incident Management and reporting; and also maintain knowledgebase related to Incident Management
• To coordinate with different departments and upstream providers to troubleshoot ongoing issues
• To adhere-with all network related policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• On-Site Engineer’s Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide Network support services 24/7 [on site] to customer end users nationwide, Infrastructure teams, Customer’s third party Contractor’s and business partners.
• Execute IT networks related activities including data networks, security, VAS and end-user Support of the organization nationwide.
• Actively monitor Network Elements events, alerts thresholds via deployed NMS’ and escalate to relevant back end teams and management accordingly.
• Actively monitor all network elements’ capacity and availability through various deployed NMSs
• Actively participate in IT network and operations related project, tasks and activities.
• Management of Network devices e.g. Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and other wired and wireless network appliances.
• To perform Incident and Request Management and efficient reporting;
• To liaise with Contractor, technology partners and other service providers for VPN deployments etc.
• To coordinate with different departments and upstream providers to troubleshoot ongoing network related issue

Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of Experience
• Excellent technical knowledge of Routers, Switches, Firewalls and VPN boxes
• Different Network Attacks knowledge
• Cisco, Juniper or other OEM Certification will be preferred
