UX & UI Designer

Salary: £40K- 55K DOE Contract: Permanent Location: Hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week in our central London office. Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic UX & UI Designer to join our Product team and drive forward the interaction design for our groundbreaking sustainability solution. As the sole Internal Designer, you will collaborate closely with our Head of Product, Engineers and external design agency to shape the future of Zellar’s platform. This is a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the product design and roadmap, contributing to a meaningful project that addresses sustainability challenges for businesses.

Key Details:
• Create detailed UX and UI designs for product screens, ensuring responsiveness and alignment with brand guidelines
• Update and maintain the design system to ensure consistency across the product
• Collaborate with the engineering team, providing guidance on product design during development
• Conduct user research to inform design decisions and enhance the overall user experience
• Produce both low and high fidelity prototypes and wireframes for new feature concepts
• Support ongoing product strategy, contributing to the evolution and improvement of our sustainability platform

What we are looking for:
• Proven experience (2+yrs) in designing user interfaces for digital and responsive products
• Willingness to work as the sole designer, taking ownership of the design process
• Proficiency working in agile product teams
• An expert in Figma
• Strong understanding of the balance between customer experience, technical constraints and business goals
• Problem-solving skills and effective communication of creative solutions
• Independent and proactive work ethic, thriving in a fast-paced early stage business environment
• Passion for sustainability desirable
• Ideal – experience conducting user and quantitative research and understanding of web development process
