Jing-Jin Electric (JJE) is a world leader of motor systems and electric drive assembly for new energy vehicles (NEV), covering pure electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrids, and hybrids. JJE employs more than 2,000 employees. We are in process of launching our North America Operation, an automated production facility, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our team
Position: Supply Chain Analyst (Logistics and Duty Analyst)
Duties/Responsibilities:
Import and Export Responsibilities:
o Lead all activities in import and export duty, documents and logistics
o Ensure current HTS classifications
o Identify Customs Brokage
o Set up JJE import surety bond insurance
o Communicate with freight forwarder to ensure timely deliver and arrival
o Managing oversea shipping logistics, react and follow up on delays
o Provide shipping tracking status, manage urgent request
o Maintain standardized documents integrity
o Communicate with 3rd logistic companies and warehouse
Duty Drawback Responsibilities:
o Lead Duty Drawback Program
o Create ACE portal account
o Determine the feasibility of self-drawback (Total volume of entry, determine the exporter- JJENA or Chrysler)
o Initiate the connection with ABI vendor (Price, service, support, etc.)
o Set up account with ABI vendor (If self- file)
o Analyze China 301 Tariff ACE data, broker reporting, and internal data
o File entries, exports and drawback, (If eligible self-file)
o Ensure have complete & accurate documentation for all imports into the Americas region and we comply with CBP & CBSA requirements
o Research HTS classification on new & current products and maintain product database for Americas region
• Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company, such as financial information
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong communication skills - ability to interface with other functions - and work with employees at all levels of the organization
• Knowledge and ability to interpret EDI and MRP systems.
Education and Experience:
• At least 2-3 years of production, supply chain, or logistics experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or equivalent experience required
• Experience collaborating and managing overseas suppliers
