Duke Kunshan University (DKU) invitesapplications for multiple faculty positions in Data Science, Computer Science,or related disciplines to begin in the academic year 2024-2025 orearlier. Potential areas of focus include but are not limited to cloud computing, database, naturallanguage process (NLP), cyber-security, human-machine interaction, and embeddedsystems. Candidates with interdisciplinary background (e.g., at theintersection between data science and environmental science, health, materialsscience and medical physics) are also encouraged to apply. This call is openwith regard to rank, including tenured, tenure track, and non-tenure trackpositions.

In order to meet Chinese visarequirements, prior to the position start date international (non-Chinese)candidates must have worked full-time (work experience obtained while studyingfull-time is not considered as full-time work experience) for at least twoyears in a relevant area (including post-doctoral work) after receiving theirBachelor’s degree, or begin their appointment at DKU within 12 months ofobtaining their master’s degree/Ph.D. and without having work experiencebetween graduation date on master’s degree diploma/Ph.D. diploma and positionstart date.

The DKU campus is 37 miles westof Shanghai in Kunshan, and is connected to Shanghai via an 18-minutehigh-speed train and a subway-light rail train system.
