About the role

Our UI/UX Designers are responsible for the creation of elegant and easy-to-use design solutions for MEGA’s website, desktop, and mobile apps. Reporting to the UX Team Lead in New Zealand, you’ll make an impact by:
• Crafting intuitive experiences that achieve desired outcomes for MEGA and our customers
• Collaborating with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Engineers, Content Writers, and Design peers
• Identifying and promoting improvements to our tooling, resources and processes
• Presenting your work as you participate in design reviews and feedback sessions
• Contributing towards the development of our design system
• Interfacing with users to conduct design research
• Mentoring and coaching junior designers

Please note that we run a hybrid-remote model at MEGA. This role may require occasional early-morning or late-night availability as you work alongside staff in different time zones.

About you

You’re a motivated, thoughtful and collaborative designer with strong communication and organisational skills. You use data and evidence to inform your design decisions and are comfortable advocating for the customer and appropriate design activities as a part of a high-performance cross-disciplinary team. You're curious and embrace the challenge of delivering solutions across multiple platforms. Most of all, you maintain a real passion for delivering customer value and staying up-to-date with emerging design trends, technologies, and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Three or more years experience across the full design process, from discovering customer needs to reviewing your implemented designs before shipping
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in an agile environment
• A track record of delivering high-quality solutions that contribute towards UX and business value
• Experience designing across a variety of platforms such as web, mobile and desktop apps an advantage

Qualifications

Ideally, you hold a tertiary qualification in design or a related discipline. A current portfolio of previous work will be required as part of the application process.
