Senior Data Analyst Consultant – Sales & Brokerage Analytics

Fully Remote- USA

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support its overarching goal of developing and maintaining predictive and retrospective data capabilities for their distribution channels. The primary focus will be on building dashboards and predictive analytics for distribution channel performance, with an emphasis on sales channels, prospect analytics, and broker team action. This will be a short term contract & pilot program for this organization.

Areas of Responsibility:

Dashboard and Predictive Analytics Development:
• Build dashboard(s) and predictive analytics for distribution channel performance, specifically for sales channels, prospect analytics, and broker team action.
• Collaborate with the team to scope V1 priorities for dashboard creation.
• Utilize agreed-upon technical solutions such as Power BI and Salesforce for the initial dashboard build (V1).

Data Integration and Documentation:
• Support the team in connecting disparate data sources for the creation of V1 BI dashboard.
• Provide comprehensive technical documentation, including scoping V1 priorities, and facilitate the handoff of V1 dashboard to the greater team.

Feature Mapping and Diversity Analytics:
• Collect and document feature mapping in alignment with overarching sales channel analytics and diversity goals.
• Contribute to the development of insights and analytics to optimize diversity goals within distribution channels.

Personnel Capacity Assessments and Forecasting:
• Assist in assessing and forecasting personnel capacity needs for future personnel tied to the overall effort.
• Provide recommendations for optimizing personnel resources based on data-driven insights.

Data Science and Analytics Work:
• Conduct data science and analytics activities, including advanced analytics on sales performance, sales incentives impact, and commission structures.
• Analyze broker behavior and performance, providing insights into long-term impacts and retention strategies.

Workflow Examples:
• Explore advanced analytics scenarios, such as predicting the impact of price changes on membership levels.
• Enable the development of dashboards for the broker sales team, assisting in identifying top-performing plans during open enrollment.

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Power BI for creating dashboards, reports, and explaining analytical insights.
• Experience in Salesforce and handling analytics/reporting within the platform.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills for working with data stored in Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in project planning, including gathering input on feature mapping and overall project planning.
• Experience supporting environments related to insurance sales brokers, sales analytics, or similar industries is highly desirable.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and knowledge transfer.

Project Overview:
• This is a contractor position through 1/19/24 as of now
• Fully remote
• Equipment provided
• Must be comfortable working on a W2 basis
