The primary focus of this role is as follows: * provide leadership to the team of HR Business Partners who provide strategic human resource management advice and operational HR consulting services and support to local Hospital & Specialist services local leadership * plan, direct and coordinate the provision of the human resource partnering and management advice and activity across the group that ensures the strategic use of human resources is maximised * lead and oversee the implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programmes * deliver key HR projects aligned with the organisation's human resource strategies and plans * advocate on behalf of the hospital services to ensure the HR planning and service development work is aligned with the 100-Day plans and Te Whatu Ora / H&SS. * represent the HR function in appropriate management team forums * role model effective HR practices and technical practices * foster employee engagement and ensure effective people management practices within the group. * contribute to the development and delivery of the H&SS Delivery Support leadership team Mōu | About you You will have confidence to contribute to the development and delivery of the H&SS Delivery Support leadership team. Provide leadership and guidance to the Delivery Support Team direct and indirect reports, ensuring alignment with the overall HR policy, processes, and practices to support the achievement of H&SS business outcomes​. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including leadership and national HR teams to understand the unique needs and challenges of each and develop tailored HR and initiatives and solutions to address them effectively​ and deliver key HR projects aligned with the organisation's human resource strategies Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience * Minimum of 10 years in a senior human resource management leadership role. * Knowledge of contemporary organisational development and human resource management theory and knowledge. * Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting a workforce (e.g., employment and safety laws). * Previous experience leading a human resource team in a complex and fast paced environment * Commercial and governance knowledge and experience beneficial * Demonstrated project management experience with a track record of delivering effective human resource services. * Proven track record in monitoring and analysing performance to ensure the quality of work * Experience and strong evidence of an ability to develop a culture in the direction desired by the organisation. * Preference for a knowledge of the New Zealand health sector and the political, legislative, and other external influences affecting the sector. * Previous responsibility at a leadership level for developing, maintaining, and influencing mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships.
