Description

Your Title: UX/UI Designer

Location: Christchurch, New Zealand

Division: Agriculture

Are you enthusiastic about blending aesthetics with functionality? Do you aspire to craft and refine interfaces that offer both visually stunning and user-centric experiences?

What You Will Do

In our User Experience team, the guiding principle is straightforward yet essential: “Design industry-leading solutions that delight customers and drive business growth through empathy, collaboration, research, and efficiency.” UX Generalists make this possible.

As a UX/UI Designer, you will collaborate closely with other UXers, engineers, and product teams, to deliver user-centric interfaces that not only delight the eyes but also offer an intuitive, seamless user experience. You will be involved in every step of the design process—from ideation and wireframing to final high-fidelity mockups. Your expertise will drive the visual and functional direction of our digital solutions, ensuring they meet both user needs and business objectives.

This will see you use your strong understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and design thinking methodologies to apply strategic thinking to deliver solutions that account for both user needs and business goals. You will naturally demonstrate a strong ability to empathize with people, detangling customer workflows through the use of user data, journey mapping, and task flows.

This will involve you doing the following:
• Create low to high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to support multiple development teams using tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Build collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams such as product management, engineering, support, and other UX designers
• Facilitate and participate in design reviews to help generate ideas, share patterns, and to collect feedback among UX professionals
• Shift easily among projects in a variety of sizes and scopes
• Assist in promoting user-centered design thinking and best practices within the organization.
• Participate in team design meetings to review key initiatives and progress and learn about other products.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
• Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, or similar
• 3+ years of experience as a professional User Experience Designer
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates an ability to create simple, well-thought workflows and experiences that solve problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for articulating complex ideas
• Collaborative in spirit, open to iteration and feedback
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Strong attention to detail.

What Skills & Experience You Could Bring:
• Experience in agriculture or the industrial sector
• Experience working with products that include highly complex workflow considerations
