He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicatedProjects Managers - North Islandto drive results through our Business, Industry, Sports&Leisure sector. This full-time, permanent position. The primary focus of this position is on driving operational excellence and improvement across multiple teams and/or sites, contributing to and implementing strategy.

Ko o Kawenga/ Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
• Project Definition - In conjunction with relevant project stakeholders, define and refine the parameters of the project to meet the intent of its objectives. This includes the identification of constraints, work scope definition, breakdown structures, cost estimation, scheduling deliverables, and benefits estimation.
• Project Planning - Establish achievable plans for the delivery of the project, including schedule, costs, resources, procurement, and stakeholder management. This includes the preparation of key project plans and documentation defining how the project will be managed.
• Project Execution - Manage the project through its life cycle from initiation through to execution to close out and handover. This includes key areas of project integration, control, and technical delivery.
• Risk and Issue Management - Identifying and managing issues and potential risks to the project's success along with identifying and managing the agreed mitigation actions.
• Lead change for units within the portfolio and support change in the wider sector or organisation.
• Support the implementation of the strategy for growth and retention of new and existing business within the sector by leading the development of medium to long-term account plans.
• Develop and update legal /regulatory knowledge required for business compliance
• Communicate financial targets/budgets to Site Managers and ensure understanding.

Our Ideal candidates will have:
• Experience with business excellence through identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for excellence within the Hospitality industry.
• A Qualification in Quality Management Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points will be a distinct advantage.
• Ability to form productive relationships with clients and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• In-depth understanding of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment and ability to apply principles.
• Strong Multi-Site operational experience in a similar role within the industry
• Advanced commercial acumen with the ability to manage multiple budgets.
• Proven experience in managing successful teams within geographic spread.
