The Database Administrator role is a permanent opportunity and is situated in Edwardsville, Illinois.How you will make an impact- Reduce false alarms to a minimum by configuring database monitoring utilities- Maintain all database instances across development, staging, and production environments, handling installations and configurations as needed- Baseline system performance and monitor for deviation, recommending and implementing improvements to slow running queries- Confirm that database server topology, configuration, and maintenance meet SLA goals when designed and executed- Give advice on database design, tuning options, and other issues- Fix database service outages when they happen, which can include after hours and weekends- Improve performance with the most effective solution, such as hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
