The Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf is looking for a*n for the Institute of Computer Science, working group "Machine Learning for Medical Data" for the next possible date.
System Administrator* (m/f/d)
What are your main responsibilities?
• Support of Linux, Mac-OS and Windows-based workstations.
• Installation and support of software packages
• Contact person*in for the employees*innen of the working groups with EDP questions.
• Maintenance of the web presences of the working groups with the help of the content management system of HHU.
• Representation of other system administrators*system administrators at the institute.
• Installation, administration and maintenance of Linux-based servers as well as integration of workstations into the Linux server structure.
What do we expect?
• An education as an IT specialist, IT systems electronics technician or a completed relevant university education (bachelor's degree or equivalent).
• sound experience in the administration of Linux-based servers and networks.
• Knowledge of working with Docker and Git
• Very good knowledge of security concepts
• Knowledge of the English language is an advantage
• Self-motivation, especially with regard to following current technological trends

The position is to be filled as soon as possible in full-time (part-time possible). It is open-ended.
