Job Summary

The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for managing the server and network infrastructures of the organization (On prim and hosted). The ideal candidate should have experience in managing both Windows and Linux environments.

Experience: 10+ years, including minimum of 5 years with organizations having hybrid cloud environment

Duties and Responsibilities

Deploy, Configure, Finetune, Manage, and Monitor IIB internal servers, web servers/Application Servers (running on Linux and Windows OS) to ensure optimum performance of the Applications.

Address the hosting requirements of Web Applications, operations with best standards for developers and support in installing, configuration setup of webservers (Apache Tomcat, Apache2, Nginix, Uvicorn webservers and configuration for hosting applications/ Services)

Hardening of the Servers and configurations to ensure no vulnerabilities as per security best practices including SSL certificates installation as per. best practices

Provide troubleshooting assistance and solution to help developers diagnosing technical issues and help in resolutions.

Experience in working with Software development teams in sizing the infrastructure required for test / development / production environments both on prim and cloud hosting environments.

Identify the need for updates and upgrades and implement them with plan of action in the system and network infrastructure at IIB.

Troubleshooting and providing technical support to developers and employees.

Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts and

Continuously monitoring the performance of Servers and finetune for optimal performance.

Monitor and Manage third party vendors / partners in configuration of the servers and validate testing and conformance.

Good to have:

Exposure to Network Administration

Certified on Cloud computing (AWS or Azure )

Exposure to ITIL processes

Good Communication Skills

Preparing RFPs, evaluating vendor proposals, working with Procurement teams in preparing Purchase Orders, processing Invoices, etc.
