We are seeking a highly motivated PhD Chemical Engineer who has experience working with polymers and polymer processing to join the Corporate Functions Research and Development Organization in Procter and Gamble, located in Cincinnati, OH. This specific role involves developing and applying engineering principles and mastery in polymer science to creating new materials and processes that improve both performance and sustainability. The successful candidate will partner seamlessly inside and outside the Company to design and execute laboratory-based to pilot-scale experiments, develop technical models and prototypes, and generate critical insights and R&D solutions that will further grow P&G's business. The candidate should have strong laboratory skills and co-creation mindset for business problem solving to deliver against challenges across multiple categories.

Job Qualifications

The selected candidate will have:
• A Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated technical mastery in polymer science, polymer synthesis, advanced plastic recycling, and/or the engineering processes necessary to industrialize polymers. This role will emphasize the translation of laboratory-scale insights to pilot and commercial scale. Experience with technoeconomic analysis, lifecycle analysis, and/or intellectual property is a plus.
• A demonstrated track record of technical curiosity, hands-on experimental work, and ability to translate data into actionable insights, leading to innovation and providing solutions to complex problems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills demonstrated by publications and conference presentations.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills inside and outside of their home institution.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to enroll, influence, motivate, and guide others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industry and drive priority calls to maximize business impact.
