First Call Professional is searching for a Chemical Engineer. This position will work onsite at an automotive manufacturing facility in Franklin, IN.

The Engineer is responsible for assuring metal finishing processes such as paint and plating meet all quality specifications. This position is responsible for ensuring that painting and plating processes are within the correct tolerances for chemistries. This position works with the Metal Finishing Supervisor to ensure all processes achieve company goals for quality at the most efficient cost.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• The Metal Finishing Engineer is responsible for assuring metal finishing processes such as paint and plating meet all quality specifications.
• This position is responsible for ensuring that painting and plating processes are within the correct tolerances for chemistries.
• Ensure processes are operating at optimum and maintained to achieve production targets for QCD.
• Supervise special projects as assigned to enhance associate productivity and functionality of equipment and processes.
• Support Maintenance staff in equipment upgrades and repairs as needed.
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain accurate process documentation.
• Support company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, QS9001-2008 regulations as well as ISO14001 and OSHA regulations.

REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, or related field, is required from an accredited institution.
• 4-6 years of related experience may substitute for a college diploma.
• This position requires proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office products.
• One year of experience in a Chemical Engineering role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience in Safety and environmental certification is strongly preferred. ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and/or automotive-related internal auditing skills, as well as laboratory and wastewater treatment experience is a plus.
