Description

Provide an in-house mechanicaldesign capability to support the various development programmes of Halcon;

Undertake mechanical design and supportwork throughout the life-cycle of electro-mechanical fuse systemsunder development, for all phases of conceptual design, preliminarydesign, detail design and development, manufacture, production,end-use support and phase-out/disposal;

Performprecise engineering calculations using theoretical methods as wellas computational simulations;

Devise, organizeand ensure engineering arrangements andrevisions;

Establish test specifications andprocedures to ensure that all design requirements aremet;

Evaluate the performance of mechanicalequipment against set performancerequirements;

Mentor and monitor mechanicalengineers;

Steer and support technicalpersonnel reporting to your function to deliver on theirresponsibilities as designated by the Lead Engineer.

Experience &Education

Qualifications:

Bachelor’sor Master’s degree and/or equivalent technicalqualification in mechanical or aerospaceengineering

Working knowledge in the broadspectrum of mechanical engineering as related to fine mechanicalsystem development and manufacturing

At least 5yrs. (Bachelor’s) or 4 yrs. (Master’s) ofrelated experience, preferably, in the aerospaceindustry
