ROLE

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Application Developer to join the Information Services team. As a Mobile Application Developer, you will play a pivotal role in creating high-quality, user-friendly mobile applications that meet specific business needs. Your contributions will directly impact our company's growth and reputation. You'll work closely with a team of talented Mobile Developers under the guidance of the Manager of Digital Development.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Collaboration:
• Provide clear direction, purpose, and context for your team's work.
• Set targets and deliverables with agreed timeframes.
• Regularly assess and provide feedback to team members.
• Improve technical skills and capabilities of team members.
• Foster efficient team collaboration for better communication and problem-solving.
• Manage team resources and processes effectively.

Quality Assurance:
• Reduce time and costs associated with software testing.
• Improve software quality and user satisfaction.
• Streamline testing processes to minimize errors.

Mobile Application Development:
• Ensure user-friendly, performant, and functional applications.
• Implement best practices for mobile app development, including code optimization and security.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers for visually appealing interfaces.

YOU

You will bring your excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude towards staying up to date with mobile technologies and able to troubleshoot errors using data-driven decisions. Knowledge and Experience:
• Degree in relevant ICT or business disciplines (mandatory).
• Proficiency in mobile app development frameworks and programming languages.
• Knowledge of mobile application security principles.
• Ability to optimize mobile app performance.
• Strong understanding of user interface and user experience design principles.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Strong experience using Kotlin to develop Android mobile applications.
• Bonus points for knowledge of cross-platform mobile frameworks like React Native and Flutter
• Proficiency in integrating mobile applications with various APIs and web services.
• Occasional interstate travel and shift work.
• Willingness to perform other duties as requested by the Manager within your current level of competence.
