About the job:

We are seeking a talented front end web developer who is passionate about creating visually stunning and user-friendly websites to join our dynamic creative team, working alongside our Graphic/Digital Designers.

We have a long-standing list of clients, with varying requirements and project timelines, so the role would suit a dynamic person who loves project diversity and possesses great communication skills.

Your daily activities may involve collaborating with our designers to create customised brochure websites using Oncord CMS, installing and integrating apps on Shopify, engaging in conversations and meetings with clients, and building eCommerce webstores with specific shipping or subscription requirements, among other responsibilities.

Key Skill Requirements:
• Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to transform static designs into captivating, responsive websites that adapt flawlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Enthusiasm for self-learning and tackling unfamiliar tasks, embracing new technologies and methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective dialogue with non-technical clients about the technical intricacies of website development.
• Proven track record in collaborating on Shopify eCommerce websites, showcasing the capability to tailor existing Shopify themes using Shopify Liquid, along with a comprehensive understanding of the Shopify ecosystem.
• Ability to work autonomously on development tasks and self-manage large website builds.
• Ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects with finesse and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of Web Accessibility and SEO best practices.
• Ability to develop with site performance in mind, showcasing a keen awareness of code optimisation for speed and efficiency.
• Possess a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring precision and accuracy across projects with varying technical requirements.

Desirable Skills:
• Experience with WordPress page builders (Avada & Divi).
• Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and migrating WordPress websites.
• Experience working with cPanel hosting for WordPress websites.
• Familiarity with Oncord CMS and Maropost Commerce Cloud.
• Experience with eCommerce payment gateways and shipping integrations.
• Experience in domain and DNS management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with different Google technologies (Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, Ads, Cloud Console).
• Familiarity with Marketing Suites such as Klaviyo, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, and MailChimp.
• Familiarity with Figma to html processes.
• Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
