The Whitbread IT landscape is everchanging, as it the cybersecurity threat and it’s the responsibility of our Information Security Team here at Whitbread to protect our data through prevention, detection, response, and containment to resolve.

The Security Analyst helps to protect Whitbread from attack internally and externally by ensuring all alerts are responded and investigated promptly and thoroughly as part of day-to-day IT security operations.

As the UK’s leading hospitality business and owner of household brands such as Premier Inn and Beefeater, we take security seriously and with over 6 million transactions a year going through our systems, its of vital importance we have the strongest controls in place to make sure all of our data in protected. Contract Type: Full-Time and Permanent

Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire (LU5 5XE) and a hybrid way of working

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting the threat intelligence and incident response capability utilising industry-leading technologies.
• Operating various security IT toolsets, ensuring continual improvement in security posture and tooling is fit for purpose.
• Supporting and running security incident management, managing incidents to a successful conclusion.
• Working alongside security analysts, SOC management, project managers, delivery leads and IT leadership to identify early visibility of both strategic and tactical threats, to the business change delivery and support pipeline management.
• Provide timely and accurate organisation level reporting to senior leadership where required, including appropriate escalation of issues.

What you’ll need:
• SME knowledge of several (not necessarily all) of the following areas: SIEM, vulnerability management, threat intelligence firewall, email, proxy, Office 365, AWS, Azure
• Experience working within Security Operations.
• Solid hands-on Cybersecurity experience.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people to enhance understanding and drive to decisions that lead to positive outcomes.
