Cyber Security Engineer

Reports to: Cybersecurity Unit Manager

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, the Cyber Security Engineer will perform various regular tasks related to network access control, antimalware platforms management, implementations of end-point controls, monitoring, incident investigation and handling, and cyber security procedures writing. The Cyber Security Engineer serves to ensure the cybersecurity posture of AIU.

Duties:
• Manage antivirus platforms
• Manage firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention systems
• Contribute to vulnerability assessment
• Investigate incidents
• Implement security controls
• Advice on new cybersecurity technologies
• Monitor network monitoring tools
• Contribute to patch management
• Manage network access control systems

Skills:
• Ability to manage antivirus platforms
• Ability to manage firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention systems
• Knowledge of automation scripts development (e.g., Ansible)
• Ability to investigate incidents
• Experience in implementing security controls
• Knowledge of new cybersecurity technologies
• Capable of maintaining and monitoring centralized anti-malware platforms
• Knowledge of patch management
• Knowledge of penetration testing
• Knowledge of access control
• Understanding of offensive and defensive tactics
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS and firewalls
• Knowledge of penetration testing

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology preferred
• Cisco Certified Network Associate
• Cisco CBROPR or equivalent
• FortiNet Network Security Expert 4 (NSE 4)

Desirable:
• Proven experience with XDR platforms (e.g., Sentinel One)
• Proven experience with antimalware platforms (e.g., ESET)
• Proven experience with Endpoint Control Platforms (e.g., ManageEngine
