At the Ethicon Norderstedt production site, we produce medical sutures and cover the majority of the value chain. Organized in different production areas, we meet the needs of hospitals worldwide in 2 or 3 shifts every day and ensure continuous improvement through a focus on safety, quality and costs. The focus is on good teamwork in order to make the best possible use of our automated production systems.

Process Engineer (m/f/d) in medical technology,

Focus on packaging and packaging processes Final production

Location: Norderstedt - Temporary (2 years)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

· Jointly responsible for the design of manufacturing processes and the associated systems in the area of ​​final assembly and packaging of medical devices.

· Comprehensive knowledge of the entire production process, including the associated employees, processes, systems and products.

· Organize and execute process validations, including DOEs, IQ, OQ and PQ protocols and reports, create or modify all affected specifications of test procedures and manufacturing processes

· Application of statistical tools to evaluate validations

· Preparation and execution of risk management activities, risk assessments (pFMEA) in accordance with internal standards and legal requirements.

· Conduct and support non-conformity defect investigations, implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) as a team member or CAPA lead

· Liaise with suppliers and SQM to implement changes

Packaging materials, new packaging materials and technologies

· Support lifecycle management of packaging components and LCM projects

· Evaluate proposed material changes in terms of impact

existing manufacturing processes and possible interactions with the product and

other packaging materials

· Creation of validation documents to document the process capabilities of

new and changed packaging materials

QUALIFICATIONS

Your qualification profile:

· Completed engineering studies, preferably in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, packaging technology or production, process and medical technology,

· Experience in final assembly/packaging processes for medical devices

· Ideally experience in product or process development

· Excellent written and spoken English skills

· Strong communication and teamwork skills
