Job DescriptionENGIE Impact is looking for a professional, proactive and pragmatic legal counsel who will play a key role in advising and our team in EMEA and around the world. The role daily exposure to international contracting, and an exciting and varied workload in a fast-paced environment. As a Legal Counsel, you will : Provide direct and practical legal advice to business teams. This position has significant responsibilities with respect to complex commercial agreements, compliance, transactions and partnerships, and global expansion as well as daily opportunities to impact critical business results. Work closely with other business organizations to draft, review and negotiate a broad variety of commercial agreements with clients, suppliers and business partners. Support and act as a representative in corporate transactions, including restructurings, formations and mergers and acquisitions. Support operational implementation of risk, ethics and data privacy policies. Collaborate with other ENGIE Business Units on a global basis to support the implementation of multi-national client contracts. Liaise with legal counsel internally and externally as required. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to continually improve internal legal and corporate governance support and build efficient processes. Support the implementation of operational best practices. Support the preparation of corporate housekeeping documentation. Undertake research into policy and legislative topics and subject matter and present recommendations. Qualifications - Do you tick all the boxes? Experience/Diploma:Qualified lawyer in France, Belgium or another EU jurisdiction.2+ years of post-qualification experience with an emphasis on business support commercial contracts and complex transactions. Combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred. Skills/Specific Knowledge:Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills. Desire and ability to understand full scope of business operations and advise on both business and legal implications of various actions. Strong ability and willingness to work independently, think and act proactively, be flexible and adaptable and build cross-functional and cross-organization relationships in a complex global environment. Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative and working proactively. Good presentational skills. Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines. Sufficient project management skills to be able to handle a multitude of files in parallel.French and English language skills desirable. The primary business language within ENGIE Impact is English.Working knowledge of MS Office (essential), and project management-based software (desirable).Specific Business Understanding:Exposure to international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
