The Support Farmer John Coalition is an upcoming organization that is working to pass legislation designed to help small and medium-sized farmers like Farmer John, a man who came to the United States and made a living as a Wheat Farmer whiling raising a family of three. We are making great progress in the state of Washington and are looking for volunteers to help with the workload. If you meet the criteria, please submit a resume. Responsibilities

We are looking for a volunteer with legal experience who could write NDAs or something similar that we will have them sign along with other volunteers. We would prefer the individual could volunteer from time to time, but if they can only help with just this project, that is fine. The responsibilities are:

-Draft and review contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, client contracts, service agreements, and confidentiality agreements. It most likely be confidentiality agreements, but if you have other experience that is a plus!

Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or paralegal studies. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree preferred.

-Proven experience in contract drafting and review.

-Familiarity with case law research and other legal sources beyond the WAC is a plus.

-Proven experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.

-In-depth knowledge of contract law principles, contract types, and common contractual terms and conditions.

Interview Process

First, you will have an initial conversation with the founder of the organization virtually to give a summary of the organization and than move to the interview.

Decision: We strive to get back to you within two weeks from your final interview or at least provide an update as to why the process is taking longer.
