Job Description:
Global Soft Technologies, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team at our Dallas, Texas office. This is a Day 1 onsite position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work on-site five days a week.
Responsibilities:
1. Database Administration:
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and monitoring.
- Identify and resolve database performance issues to ensure efficient and reliable database operations.
- Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies.
- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and audit database access to safeguard sensitive information.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime.
- Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery processes.
- Respond promptly to database-related incidents and provide technical support.
- Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and infrastructure changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database requirements align with business goals.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server versions, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience in performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
