Title: Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer
Location: Derby
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (will be measured on the candidates experience)
I'm currently working on a role with a leading site investigation, contaminated land, and geotechnical consulting firm with teams specialising in geophysics, surveying, and waste management to help bring in a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer into their business. My client is a preeminent provider of integrated engineering, technical, and environmental services, offering dynamic, multidisciplinary services to a wide range of industries.
Qualifications
An MSc in Land Contamination/Hydrogeology or Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering or Contaminated Land is preferred but not necessary.
A BSc degree-level qualification in Geology, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
Chartered Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist.
Possess a full UK driver's licence.Responsibilities
Prior experience within a project management role within a similar environment whether that be an environmental or engineering consultancy.
seasoned project manager working for an engineering and environmental firm
Designing, overseeing, and coordinating site investigations for environmental and/or geotechnical assessments with real-world experience
Preferable are familiarity with and knowledge of fundamental geotechnical testing, constraint assessment, and foundation design.
demonstrated expertise in creating fee proposals and tenders
It is helpful to understand planning laws in Scotland and other parts of the UK as well as contaminated land.Salary and Benefits
