Job Title: HSE Engineer – Dixstone Drilling

Job Summary

Dixstone Drilling is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Engineer to join our Oil and Gas Drilling company. The HSE Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our drilling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for acting as the extension of the Dixstone manager's authority for the HSE part and providing support to other Dixstone managers to help them in their HSE responsibility.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs that meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
• Act as the extension of the Dixstone manager's authority for the HSE part and provide support to other Dixstone managers to help them in their HSE responsibility.
• Act as the focal point at the HQ level for all HSE thematic for Dixstone Drilling.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and develop control measures to eliminate or minimize potential HSE risks.
• Conduct HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
• Develop and conduct HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and ensure that investigations are carried out properly.
• Start and pilot the process of ISO certification of Dixstone Drilling for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
• Review and maintain updated the HSE manual, and other tools. Ensure their good implementation on the units.
• Roll out HSE campaigns on all Dixstone Drilling units. Propose and lead safety campaigns.
• Monitor company HSE performance and control the situation of the units and their evolution through regular HSE audits (about equipment, staff, and organization).
• Participate in audits on Dixstone Drilling units and assess the competency of rig HSE personnel.
• Propose, implement and maintain solutions to raise the safety competence of the staff by adequate training and coaching
• Maintain the Emergency Response organization of Dixstone Drilling at the HQ level and on the units.
• Perform safety review of projects and Rig request for Modification.
• Maintain good communication with all Dixstone Drilling departments (Operations, Technical support, projects).
• Follow up of the HSE roving team.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE engineering in the Oil and Gas industry or similar industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of Oil and Gas HSE regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices
• Experience in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of French language a welcomed bonus
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain good communication with all Dixstone departments
• Willingness to travel to various Dixstone Drilling units and work in remote locations
• Experience in investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes
• Ability to maintain emergency response organization and perform safety reviews
• Position based in Paris
