What You Will Achieve

You will be a member of Pfizer’s dedicated and highly effective Package Design and Development (PDD) team.
• The primary function of the Graphic Designer is to create and/or modify artwork for product labeling and packaging (US and Global markets).
• This ideal candidate will have a working understanding of artwork design, layout, and branding, specific to product packaging and labeling. The incumbent acts as the graphic liaison for artwork design for new product introductions, as well as legacy products requiring artwork support from Package Design and Development (PDD).
• The Graphic Designer will be well organized, attentive to detail, and have strong communication skills.

How You Will Achieve It
• Translate marketing objectives into creative solutions ensuring all Regulatory mandated requirements are met.
• Ensure all artwork is developed accurately and consistently by means of adhering to Pfizer’s and Pharmaceutical Industry packaging and labeling standards.
• Create or modify artwork based on label copy mark ups and team inputs, in conjunction with templates, drawings, specifications. Ensure spelling, punctuation, dimensions, geometry, all aspects of bar coding, copy direction, copy placement, copy layout, formatting, spacing, etc., align with the mark up and inputs.
• Ability to interpret package and labeling drawings, specifications, and reference materials to create proper packaging layouts and templates for proper application of artwork. This position develops and administers approved label templates.
• Provides open communication on progress of projects or artwork mark-up issues with the stakeholders, including plant coordinators / label editors and supervisor.
• Ensures proper good documentation practices and audit trail processes are followed.
• Ability to create multi-lingual artwork, use of international fonts and punctuation.
• Ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Attends package and label development meetings as graphics representative, keeping the PDD project manager and supervisor informed on project status.
• Communicates with print suppliers who use company released artwork files on issues related to print capabilities, troubleshooting, or offering suggestions and recommendations on printer modifications.
• Communicates with internal and external stakeholders, and external brand/artwork agencies.
• Maintains and updates desktop publishing software.

Qualifications:
• Applicant must have High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with six years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with four years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience in graphic design.
• Graphics degree with experience in healthcare packaging and labeling artwork preferred.
• Package/Labeling Printing and Graphic Arts knowledge is required.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat required.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Minimal Travel Required (<10%)

Work Location Assignment: Position requires on site at one of the following Pfizer locations 2-3 times per week (subject to increase): Collegeville, PA, Peapack, NJ, New York City, NY or Lake Forest, IL, and may be remote for remainder of week.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,800.00 to $104,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 7.5% of the base salary. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.

Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
