HR Specialist – Contract Manager

Location: Birmingham

Length: 3m

Rate: £400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35 via umbrella)

Hours: 9am – 6pm

This client is one of the world's largest and most respected broadcasting organizations. One of the UK’s flagship media organizations, this client operates numerous TV channels, radio stations and digital platforms, catering to diverse audiences both in the UK and around the globe.

This HR Specialist role sits within the Operations Support Team of People Services, HR.

Working to the Senior HR Business Partner you will provide support for the outsourced HR services with a focus on managing the business relationship and overall contractual performance of all HR service suppliers; providing intelligent management information with regards to effective use of the contracted services.

Main Responsibilities
• Supporting our client's value for All Strategy. Embedding HR department’s objectives to create a great place to work into our 3rd party services;
• Support procurement projects which contribute to the HR agenda, working with internal stakeholders including our client's Procurement to define requirements, procurement approach and manage bidder interaction;
• Manage overall contractual performance, seeking continuous improvement and value for money;
• Provide assurance to stakeholders on the resilience of the supplier network, protecting the integrity of the processes and associated controls;
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the HR business area and requirements, to optimize the value of 3rd party HR services;
• Providing internal stakeholders with intelligent management information – including supply market knowledge enabling informed decisions with regards to external supply requirements and effective use of the contracted services;
• Measure supplier performance, service delivery and compliance through reporting of operational activity, identifying opportunities to deliver continuous improvement;
• Drive contract compliance and process automation, liaising closely with other areas of the business;
• Effectively embed relevant HR policies into operational services;
• Lead on escalations and any subsequent supplier improvement plans, ensuring root causes of any issues are investigated.

Skills and Experience
• Proven track record in providing pro-active specialist support on key commercial activities e.g. negotiation, contract management and purchasing;
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders;
• Ability to critically and objectively analyze performance and swiftly initiate corrective action if required;
• Draft professional standard documentation including business case proposals, briefing documentation and assessment models
• Focused on attention to detail, with experience maintaining performance and commercial records including accurate recording of confidential data.

Desirable
• Working knowledge of HR systems, processes and related services would be advantageous
