Description

The Network Administrator participates in the implementation, support, configuration, and maintenance of CVEC Fiber’s network systems including the hardware and software. This position ensures optimal network performance and security for internet and VOIP customers.

Essential Functions:
• Assists with back office networking required for administrative support of the daily operations of the network required to provide data, and VOIP service.
• Maintains daily security of networks and servers including operating systems and applications.
• Implements network connectivity for LAN and WAN connections, including documentation of network connections.
• Provides Tier 3 support to the customer support team to enable subscribers to access the network successfully.
• Performs maintenance of all network devices with all firmware and software updates and security patches and features.
• Maintain all data backups and disaster recovery including redundancy, virtualization, and backup procedures and rotations.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in IT related field strongly desired or relevant equivalent experience.
• 5 or more years of experience in server or network role, with some advanced knowledge in networking and server administration.
• Must have knowledge of Linux and basic scripting experience. Prefer experience with Juniper routers and switches.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
