Reporting to the Accounting Advisor – Shared Services, this role will be providing accounting and reporting support services for Newmont Australia. The position reports to the Senior Advisor – Shared Services and will work under the general direction of Accounting Advisor – Shared Services for day-to-day delegation and review of tasks.

The role is responsible for:
• Providing Accounting and Reporting support services for Newmont Australia’s core operations.
• Accounting and Reporting for Newmont Australia’s non-core businesses. E.g. Tree Farm, Housing Trust, Power Plant etc.
• Working with the lead accountants for each of Newmont Australia’s core operations to complete month-end deliverables under a shared service model.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
• Accounting Degree qualified with post qualification experience desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• High level of professionalism and commitment to a team approach.
• Be able to work well in a pressured environment with tight and demanding deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills as well as attention to detail.
• Ability to set priorities within tight deadlines.

This position is offered as a 12 month Fixed Term position and offers the opportunity for the successful applicant to work in our Subiaco Hub, 2 days a week, and from home the other 3 days. Applications close Sunday, December 17, 2023 with shortlisting to commence immediately.
