Description

This position is responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces and seamless user experiences across various digital platforms and products. The role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, including the digital product manager, digital technology/ IT team, vendors, and internal stakeholders from the business units, to understand user needs and translate them into engaging designs. In addition, shall utilize experience in user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX) research to contribute in shaping the success of AAM's digital products.

User Research & Analysis
• Conduct user research to identify user needs, goals, and pain points.
• Analyze user feedback, conduct usability tests, and gather insights to inform design decisions.
• Develop user personas, user flows, and customer journey maps to guide design solutions.

UI/UX Design
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design tools.
• Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Design visually appealing user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
• Ensure consistent and intuitive user experiences across multiple platforms and devices.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility and provide necessary design assets.

Interaction Design
• Define and design interactive elements, including buttons, menus, and navigation systems.
• Develop micro-interactions and animations to enhance user engagement and delight.
• Apply best practices in interaction design to improve usability and accessibility.

Collaboration & Communication
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals.
• Present design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and gather feedback.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient design process.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, UI/UX best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Work with Engineering and Product to strategize and design user-centric journeys that deliver delight and value to users.
• Partner with other designers to refine design systems and integrate new features into our evolving products.
• Work with the Engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to specification and collaborate with them to produce creative design solutions when technical challenges arise.
• Review the work from vendors or junior members and ensure the consistency and quality of deliverables.

Skills
• Bachelor's in Design ((e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product), Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with using UX tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Framer, etc.).
• Portfolio demonstrating UX Design work across multiple platforms.
• Experience working with enterprise design principles and products or working with popular design languages like material design.
• Experience in UX Research to amplify research and design impact.
• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes. Alternatively working in a startup.
