TEKsystems needs to add a Data Analyst I to their team. This person will be supporting the Partnerships/Revenue department or the eCommerce/Marketing department with building data visualizations. The role will very much be centered on data utilization and reporting dashboards.

As a Data Analyst within our Partnerships/Revenue department, you have experience building and delivering compelling and actionable data visualizations. You’re comfortable querying databases and building dashboards and visualizations on top of various data structures, databases, and from 3rd party sources. You are passionate about data and utilizing a variety of tools and technologies to deliver efficient and accurate results. You’ve supported the data visualization and analytics efforts of your organization and have adopted an understanding of the business as a whole in order to provide scalable reporting dashboards that drive results. You thrive working in a fast-paced environment and in collaborating with team members across multiple departments.

Responsibilities & Job Duties (include, but are not limited to)

• Develop data visualizations to support the Company’s efforts with internal and external data requests

• Work closely with the Company’s technical leadership team to ensure data visualizations and front-end visualization tools support internal and external stakeholder requests

• Work with the Company’s Data Team and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of all reports, data and visuals

• Triage and troubleshoot technical issues that arise, helping to see them through to resolution

• Interface with internal clients to ensure all data visualization and reporting related solutions are considered and vetted

• Work closely with product owner, development team, and the data and analytics team to flesh out requirements and solution design

• Collaborate with peer software engineers and other team members through both high and low-level technical challenges

• Work with a variety of data sources to develop and implement business intelligence visualizations to enable cross-functional teams to make data-driven business decisions

• Partner with stakeholders to formulate program KPIs and formulate solutions to monitor performance with regular reporting

• Use trends and sales data to evaluate potential new partnerships

• Use data to:

o Make proactive buying/selling decisions

o Advise on pricing changes to maximize sales

o Identify potential problem events early in the sales cycle to minimize losses

o Identify profitable events early to ensure sales are maximized

o Help find areas of improvement department wide

Required Qualifications

• Possess bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience

• 1-3 years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence/Data visualization analyzing sales trends and market behaviors

• Ability to craft influential presentations to summarize findings

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to detail

• Excellent problem-solving ability

• Proven experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or comparable data visualization tool

• Experience with SQL and relational database concepts (SQL Server)

• Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with data analytics and administration of data visualization platforms, such as Power BI

• Some experience in small or medium-sized data analysis projects (i.e., taking ad hoc requests, able to pull ad hoc requests)

• Strong desire to learn

• Must be able to work full-time, on-site in Overland Park, KS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with different programming languages related to building data visualizations and analyzing data

• SQL

• Python a plus

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS cloud data services

• Azure SQL

• Azure Synapse Analytics

• Azure Data Lake

• Portfolio of visualizations created in any of the below platforms, or similar

• PowerBI

• Tableau

• Familiarity with the event ticketing industry
