RATCH-Australia (RAC) is at the forefront of the renewable energy sector with assets in wind, solar and gas across Australia. The company is entering the next exciting phase following completion of several greenfield projects, with a portfolio of development projects targeted for construction in the coming years.

Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be heavily involved in the preparation of the financial and management account. Liaising with key operational stakeholders, you will prepare the monthly reports including budgeting, forecasting and project accounting.

The role focuses on electricity market settlements; power generation assets and reporting units / entities. It is intended that the candidate will be required to rotate through and gain experience in renewables and gas, management, corporate accounting and business analysis.

Work streams range from hands on general journals, preparation of weekly electricity generation settlements, treasury functions, through to high-end technical aspects of derivative and electricity trading administrative matters, annual budget preparation and delivery of presentations.

The Successful Applicant

CA/CPA qualified, you will be a highly competent management and financial accountant, who has an interest in electricity markets, having a passion for taking ownership and responsibility for team outcomes in a small, professional work environment. Critical to your success will be your ability to work in a team environment adding value with your fantastic attitude.
• Degree qualification (Business / Finance / Commerce / Accounting)
• CPA / CA qualification a minimum
• 5+ years experience at Accountant level
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• SAP experience preferred but not essential
• High computer literacy mandatory
• Experience in power industry, electricity markets would be an advantage
