Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking to grow our Air Quality Team. We are looking for Air Quality Environmental Professionals and Project Managers to join our team throughout the United States. Successful candidates will primarily manage and complete projects assisting clients with air quality permitting, compliance, and reporting, and/or air dispersion modeling. Position may manage client relationships, identify, and respond to project opportunities, and lead execution of air quality permitting and compliance projects in accordance with the Clean Air Act (CAA) and other federal, state, and local regulations. Project s sectors include power and utilities, renewable energy, oil and gas, food and beverage, higher education, manufacturing, metals and mining, real estate, or transportation. Position may be filled in any of Stantec’s offices.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Direct projects and teams to meet deliverables including managing project scope, schedule, and budget for a wide variety of clients with air permitting and environmental compliance needs.
• Assist clients in identifying appropriate monitoring, planning, training, testing, record-keeping, and reporting protocol.
• Be an advisor and technical resource for clients to implement Federal Energy Regulatory Commission procedures and applicable regulations.
• Prepare air permit applications and associated documentation.
• Conduct environmental site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal air quality requirements.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
• Demonstrate knowledge of air quality environmental regulations and requirements, which may include air dispersion modeling and Prevention of Signification Deterioration (PSD) permitting under New Source Review (NSR), including nonattainment NSR.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong Analytical skills and good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both clients and project team members.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software platform, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to travel regionally and as needed, have overnight trips.

Education And Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, or related field.
• 4 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience for Air Quality Professional positions.
• 6 years of related experience for Air Quality Project Manager positions

Salary Range(s)

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
