General Summary:

Qualcomm is looking for a Staff HW Product Manager for the Connected Smart Systems Business Unit to help define and promote evaluation kits, module and device reference designs, and other HW system solutions based on Qualcomm chipsets.

The successful candidate will analyze business opportunities, define HW systems requirements, drive execution, and support the go-to-market plans and global customer engagements.

The candidate shall engage with partners in the supply chain to deliver the above solutions, i.e. ADCs and ODMs.

In addition, the candidate is expected to define, gather customer requirements, and prioritize use cases while working closely with Engineering and Business Development teams.

The position requires a blend of expertise in HW Customer Engineering, IPS, HW technical program management, reliability, product test, HW design, device and chipset architectures, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Define use cases, platform architecture and the total solution value proposition.
• Translates customer feedback and market dynamics into potential changes to ensure a differentiated product roadmap.
• Interact with partners and lead customers to ensure product success
• Work with technology product management and engineering leads to drive requirements into the technology roadmaps
• Work with customers and internal engineering teams on customer RFIs, RFQs, and system-level use case modelling & analysis
• Collaborate with key stake holders across engineering, business development, product management to ensure the program execution meets all specifications and KPIs goals (e.g., performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules
• Collaborates with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product goals (e.g., performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules), discuss product feasibility, and facilitate cross-functional decision making for products they own.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in engineering or computer science or MBA
• 10+ years of Product Management experience managing complete cycle of products from concept to commercialization, defining Product Requirements document, change requests and prioritization of commercial feature requests
• Deep understanding of operational aspects like reliability and product test.
• Experience in dealing with HW vendors and ecosystem
• Working knowledge of internals of various operating systems in one or more OS: Android, Yocto, Ubuntu, Windows IoT
• Effective communication skills with cross functional teams, both technical and non-technical, within a fast-paced, collaborative, innovative environment, including experience in discussing complex ideas with partners, customers, and executives
