Pharmacist Position – Full Time

We are located less than 1 hour from Perth with easy access by Public Transport.

Opening hours are 8am to 9pm, 7 days a week.

We are seeking a Pharmacist who would love to make compounding part of their everyday life. Assisting patients by customising medication to suit their needs.

About the Position:

This is a great opportunity to further develop your skills and join a community-based pharmacy that offers an excellent work-life balance. You will be responsible for the day-to-day tuning of the dispensary including counseling customers, stock ordering, and control. You will work with a team of experienced Pharmacists and Techs to ensure optimum patient care
• ​Scrips per day: 200
• Dispense: FRED
• Nursing Home: Yes
• Trading hours: Monday to Friday 9 am –5:30 pm, Saturday 9 am–12 pm.

About the Role:
• Prepare prescriptions in a timely, efficient and accurate manner, including confirming accuracy of prescriptions dispensed by non-pharmacists
• Assist in the provision of Dose Administration Aids, including confirming accuracy of DAAs packed by non-pharmacists.
• Practice in accordance with legislation and professional guidelines
• Ensure that prescriptions are accepted for dispensing in a timely way as per pharmacy procedure
• Counsel consumers on their medication (both prescription and over-the-counter products) in an up-to-date, evidence-based manner
• Practice in accordance with dispensary policy and procedure (i.e. QCPP)
• Collaborate and maintain relationships with local health professionals
• Perform simple extemporaneous compounding on request
• Participate in staged supply and/or opioid substitution programs

To Be Successful In This Role:
• Bachelor or Master degree in Pharmacy
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Great communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• A genuine desire to build and maintain a strong rapport with the community
• Immunization accreditation – First-aid qualification
