About The Role

Exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Asset Integrity team. You will be responsible for working closely with the Lead Principal Engineer, and Principal Materials Engineer and providing Engineering support to Operations, Maintenance and the Engineering Teams at all AGL Operational Assets, including Thermal Sites, Renewables and Gas Assets.

The role can be based in either of our national offices in VIC, NSW, SA and QLD or on any of our operational sites.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Represent engineering standards and continue to drive good industry practices.
• Develop, review and revise asset management plans.
• Deliver support to Major Project Engineering Teams
• Develop technical specifications and review tenders.
• Organise common interest working groups in your area.
• Support the Lead Principal Engineer with developing internal Technical Standards
• Support Business Unit engineering teams in all aspects of mechanical engineering

About You

This opportunity will suit an individual who has a passion for Engineering and is looking to further their career in the Energy Industry within a leading organisation. You will be a skilled Mechanical Engineer looking for a new rewarding challenge, ideally with a long term career goal of developing into a Principal Engineer.

What You’ll Bring To The Table
• Demonstrated experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering as a Chartered Engineer or with eligibility to become chartered.
• Experience in a variety of Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
• Prior heavy industrial experience is desired, however not essential.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels.
• Renewable Engineering experience is highly regarded.
