As a Barclays UI/UX Designer, you will ensure that clients, customers, and colleagues have an efficient and excellent overall experience when using websites and applications. You will have responsibility for conducting user research, creating wireframes, and developing user flows. Further to this, you will ensure that you sufficiently understand Barclays’ standards for usability and accessibility when applying them to the user experience.

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. What will you be doing?
• Communicating effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing
• Interacting frequently with senior stakeholders across a range of business areas
• Providing expert knowledge of industry tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin and OmniGraffle
• Presenting and explaining at both a high and detailed levels how customer experience fit into the bigger picture of private bank customer journeys
• Building the required client user experience artifacts, explaining them to the senior leadership team and development team
• Creating enhanced forward compatible technical capability in the teams in-line with organisational strategy

What we’re looking for:
• Prior experience of developing innovative solutions for a wide variety of product design challenges, including mobile and desktop
• Experience of managing the design for new experiences and improvements of existing experiences
• Excellent knowledge of industry tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin, and OmniGraffle
• Experience of working on multiple interactive design solutions and work through details

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experienced working closely with development teams, using agile methodologies
• Cybersecurity and cryptography knowledge
• Understanding of Interaction Design Principles
