Description:

The BHSF January 2024 RN Residency is now accepting applications. This comprehensive, evidence-based onboarding, education and training program is designed specifically to transition non-acute care experienced registered nurses to safe, competent professional acute care setting practitioners. The program is designed to help them gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence they need to navigate the complexity of hospital life. Integrated into our hospital's educational structure, the BHSF RN Residency includes guided preceptor clinical experience, instructor-led core curriculum, interactive classes and skills labs, a formal mentoring program, debriefing/self-care sessions, and 360-degree evaluation. RN Residents, with support, progress to the competent level quickly, safely, and effectively. The length of the residency program is 18-22 weeks.

The Residency is scheduled to begin on January 15, 2024. This position is for non-acute care experienced RNs with more than 1 year of non-acute care setting experience. Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs. Register your interest in the event the Transitional Non-Acute Care Residency takes place. Preceptor Program - Clinical preceptorship following the Married State preceptor model geared to guide the nurse towards the clinical immersion including communication and socialization into the culture of the nursing within the organization

Collaborative Support Model - also part of the RN residency supportive components brings together the team in a meeting to discuss the resident progression. The team includes the leader, educator, preceptor and resident to establish goals for the residents’ success.

Estimated pay range for this position is $33.36 - $48.67 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Associate degree graduates must commit to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.

Candidates selected for the residency will need to provide a copy of the following documents:
• 3 Letters of Recommendation from your clinical professor/instructor, preferred
• Copy of Nursing Diploma or Unofficial Transcript indicating the nursing degree awarded
• FL RN license
• BLS for Healthcare Provider card issued by the American Heart Association which must be current until at least May 2024.
