Description

Tasks & Responsibilities
• You are responsible for machine connectivity and user friendly shopfloor interfaces for our digital manufacturing strategy within PALFINGER factories all over the world
• You proactively support the development of customized manufacturing applications, especially with facilitating expertise in various engineering aspects (automation, mechanical and mechatronics)
• Throughout the collection and analyzation of machine data, you identify and document solutions to further contribute actively to management of contextual knowledge
• In addition, you are accountable for the standard definition of OT, including standards for machine interfaces as well as a backup strategy
• Last but not least you are capable of collaborating with different internal and external stakeholders, e.g. Shopfloor IT, technology suppliers or integrators

Qualifications
• Completion of a higher technical education (FH, HTL) degree in electrical / mechatronics engineering / automation technology or similar
• Practical experience in a similar role of at least 2 years, preferred within industrial environment
• Profound skills with reading machine protocols and setting up various kind of interfaces (e.g. OPC UA, Ethernet, MQTT…)
• Advanced skills and expertise with MES/MOM, PLC programing and SCADA configuration and know-how about OT Security in general
• Understanding of software / data engineering regarding business processes within industrial environment is a benefit
• Proactive personality with enthusiasm for shopfloor processes and digital optimization, able to communicate in an open manner, not only in English, but furthermore in German
